This event took place today on 07/03/2017 in the Nyamiyaga Sector, Kamonyi District. The opening ceremony of this Health Center was enhanced by the presence of the Bishop of the Diocese of Shyogwe, the high authorities of the Kamonyi District and the Country Director of One Family Health.
In his speech, the Bishop of Shyogwe warmly thanked God who helped the Diocese in the accomplishment of this worthy action. He thanked the Diocese partners who contributed financially and the District of Kamonyi which gave the large plot on which this Health Post was built. The Bishop said the Diocese plans to expand this Health Post to the level of the Health Center. The Diocese plans also to build other infrastructures such as the technical school, etc.
The Vice Mayor in Charge of Social Affairs representing the District of Kamonyi appreciated the partnership between the Shyogwe Diocese and the District. She promised the district’s support to the diocese of Shyogwe in fulfilling its mission of supporting people.
